Isolation Hair Do's & Dont's

Hi hair lovers,

This crazy world we live in at the moment could get a whole lot stranger if you were tempted to go and visit the land of DIY Hair edition, so I thought I would write up a small list of Do's & Don'ts so you can navigate your way through safely.

DO'S & don'ts

Do give yourself a weekly hair treatment, whether its a natural recipe you've found online or a masque you've bought from your local salon, make sure you do allow yourself this 15 mins of the week. You deserve it!

Don't buy a hair treatment only to leave it on the bottom shelf of your bathroom cupboard to collect dust or worst still in the bag never to be seen again.

Do visit your local hair salon for a trim or colour, YES some salons are still open and are all practising social distancing measures to keep everyone safe.

Don't think that you can give yourself a "quick" fringe trim, or that you can give yourself layers by tying your hair up in a pony and just chopping, or rather hacking it with a kitchen knife.

Do contact you local hairdresser for options on how you can cover your greys at home, whether it be a temporary or permanent solution, I know your hairdresser has your back and would much rather you contact them even if their not open to discuss your options.

We are more than happy to give you some help.

Don't take the path or should i say aisle of least resistance, by grabbing yourself a box dye, ain't nobody got time for that! No in all seriousness whether your on a hair journey from black to blonde, or just simply wanting your regrowth done, there is better options then this, don't throw all your $$$ and time in the salon down the drain, if you cause damage now it will need to be fixed later.

Now is a good time to look after your hair, even more than usual. We can use the fact that we never go out anywhere to our advantage here, if your not leaving the house then there's no need for styling with heat tools or slicking it down with hairsprays and gels, don't let those flyways annoy you, we've all got them, just embrace what your Mumma gave you and LET IT BE!

Your hair will thankyou, and your hairdressers will too :)
